The role of the Community Development department is to guide and facilitate an orderly growth for the City of Maitland. This is achieved by making sure that any future development is held accountable to the City’s developmental regulations and is consistent with the Comprehensive Development Plan. Our goal is to create and maintain a quality community for residents and property owners to enjoy. The divisions that work together to make this happen are the Planning & Zoning Division, Mapping/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Building Safety and Code Compliance.
